While in some aspects BigQuery, Google’s managed cloud data warehouse, it is designed similarly to other PaaS products in this area, it also holds number of unique capabilities. To better understand them and underlying design decisions, we will provide deep dive into BigQuery internal architecture, storage and query processing concepts. Having that knowledge, we will cover actual querying and data integration capabilities. Finally, we will provide some business context, by showcasing typical use cases in e-commerce, digital advertising and publishing areas.
